IT TAKES A LOT OF LOVE TO CREATE A LITTLE LOVE

If you've been to Chinta Kechil and wondered what inspired the decor, look no further.

The broad concept may have been from owner Simon Goh, but the detail was the inspiration of Katy Svalbe & Yasmine Ghoniem from Amber Road Design.

Born and educated on opposite sides of the globe, sisters Katy and Yasmine reunited in Sydney in 2011 to work together on a major design project. Their studio prides itself on creating unique, practical, intelligent yet playful design solutions for clients across a range of sectors and budgets.

Their work on Chinta Kechil is proof of their flair, and attention to detail - the tiles in the dining area are custom designed and manufactured and the light fittings above their heads (out of shot) are hand made by the sisters themselves.

Chinta means Love in Malaysian and Kechil means Little - But designing Double Bay's latest eatery has certainly taken a Lot of Love
